THE BOAT IS DRIFTING
WHEN THE BOAT DRIFTS
Sometimes we might get the sense that the boat isn’t well anchored and it drifts. Marking spots on the coast is one way to notice. If we see that the boat turns against the weather (current), it is almost certain that the anchor drags itself. If we notice irregular vibrations while holding the anchor rope, it is a sign that the boat drifts. If there is a doubt about how well we have anchored, the best thing to do is bring the anchor up and drop it back again.
