THE ENGINE WON’T START OR THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN SUDDENLY
- If we’re close to the coastline / rocks and the boat is drifting towards them, we immediately drop our anchor.
- We check that the shift is in neutral.
- We make sure that the kill cord is in place.
- We make sure that we didn’t run out of fuel.
- We check that our propeller hasn’t been entangled with ropes, bags or any other items that might hinder its free rotation.
- We press the fuel pump a few times until we can feel that it has received some fuel.
- We check our console indications and gauges.
- If the problem persists, we contact the office.
